Summer Read Newsletter

Summer Read is here!  Patrons of all ages are welcome to sign up for our summer reading program.  The program runs for 5 weeks, and children need to read 20 minutes a day for 5 days/week, teens read 30 minutes a day/week, and adults can finish by reading books or accomplishing tasks such as liking us on Facebook or visiting the G.A.R. room at the Douglas County Courthouse!  Kids will receive weekly prizes (thanks Tuscola Kiwanis) for reading goals, as well as a chance to win a Family Pool Pass for the Tuscola pool next year.  Teens who finish will receive an Amazon gift card (thanks Kris at Country Financial) and be entered to win a out-with-friends experience package (thanks First Federal of Tuscola).  Adults who finish will receive a library perks card featuring money off of fines and other perks, as well as entered into a drawing for a local business gift card prize pack (thanks Tuscola Rotary)!  Come in to the library to sign up this week and next (late signups are okay too).

Of course, we have a load of events happening this summer, such as outdoor movies, summer birthday bashes, lego club, and more!  Be sure to check out our summer newsletter for all the events happening in June and July.

Our teddy bear sleepover will be happening soon, so be sure to drop off those stuffed animals on June 8!  Check out last year’s Teddy Bear Sleepover video:
